We are, of course! But we’re guessing you didn’t click on this link to read about why we think we’re amazing, and you might not even live in the Cambridge, ON area. Since kitchen and bath remodelers are usually small, local businesses (or most of the best ones are, at least), it is very difficult for us to give you a link to the best one in your area - we’d almost certainly leave several deserving companies out!
Instead, we’d like to offer you a few ways to find the best
kitchen and bath remodeling company in whatever part of Canada you live. And if you do live near Cambridge, ON, we hope these tips will encourage you to check out our services!
Personal recommendations are by far the best way to find a great remodeling company. If your friend, neighbor, coworker, or anyone else you feel like you can trust to be honest with you has recently had renovations done, ask them who they used and what their opinion of the company was.
If they were thrilled with the service and the results of their renovation, you might not need to look any further. And if they were very unhappy with either of these, you have at least eliminated one company from your list!
Unless an individual is highly recommended by someone you trust, you are almost always better off hiring an established business for your kitchen or bath remodel. These contractors are almost certain to be properly licensed and insured, they usually have enough staff to meet all the demands of a job, and you can have confidence that they will be around to honor any warranties or guarantees they give you on their work.
If you don’t know anyone who has recently remodeled (or just want a second opinion on the company they recommended), the internet is a valuable resource. Reviews on Google or
contractor specific websites can give you a good overall opinion of a company. Many contractors are also listed with the Better Business Bureau - BBB membership is a great way to know that a contractor is stable and serious about doing good work.
Once you have narrowed your options down to two or three companies, meet with each of them in person. Discuss your specific project and ask if they have done similar work before. A company who specializes in tile may not be the best option if you want to convert your tub to a walk-in shower!
Finally, trust your instincts. If someone’s offer seems too good to be true or they are very quick to promise additional services (especially at no extra cost) to get you to sign a contract, you should be wary. Even if all the options seem honest and like they do great work, there may also be one contractor that you just feel more comfortable working with for personality reasons.
